WIND CHILL ADVISORY: Christmas Eve Snow

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect for the state of Iowa through noon Tuesday. Wind Chills may be as low as 25 to 30 below zero at times under mainly clear skies.

Christmas Eve will start off very cold throughout the morning hours, reaching the coldest temperatures for the year of 2013 so far. A warm front will move in throughout the afternoon, bringing in warmer temperatures as well as snow. Light snow will be likely this afternoon and evening, with accumulations of 1-3″.

Christmas day and the rest of the week looks to be dry with a highs in the lower 30s and upper 20s.
