The new year is just days away. But one shop in Jefferson is still stuck in the 19th century.

Stop by RVP 1875 and it's like going back almost 140 years to 1875.

A stint working in the woodshop at Living History Farms changed Robbie Pederson’s career path.

“I got pretty hooked on building furniture with only hand tool. At some point I decided I wanted to make my living at it,” the Jefferson residents said.

Now Pedersen builds projects large and small using historical construction methods.

The day after Christmas is a day to return gifts. But for gifts that are made in Pederson’s shop, that's not the case.

“The piece that went out last week was number 805,” Pederson said. “And we've never had a return.”

One tool he does use from this century is the internet. You can learn more about RVP 1875 here.
