POWER OUTAGE: MidAmerican Employees Working Outside

While most stayed inside on Sunday, some people had to brave the elements so others could stay warm.

MidAmerican Energy Company employees said they frequently have to work outside during the worst weather, because bad weather is often the cause of power outages.

A burnt clamp brought a power line down in Pleasant Hill Sunday morning. It caused more than 1,800 homes to lose power.

It took employees around two hours to get the power back on.
