NEW YEAR’S DAY SNOW: Arctic Temps Stay

New Year's Eve will be quiet for Central Iowa. Snow becomes more likely early New Year's Day, especially in the central and southern parts of the state. 1 to 4" is possible through early afternoon on New Year's Day.

Temperatures will remain below average for the entire week, ranging from the single digits to the 20s. The next chance of snow will be on Saturday ahead of another push of cold arctic air.
