It turns out Americans what to know what's in their food and where it came from. That's according to a survey released by the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.
Consumers were surveyed on the importance of transparency in making and marketing food. Meatingplace reports 59 percent of consumers say it's extremely important for grocery stores and restaurants to provide information about the way food they sell is grown and raised.
Another 40 percent of 20 year old consumers say they buy one food item over another because of more transparency.
