Police have arrested two people in connection with a robbery at a Des Moines Kum and Go Wednesday night.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at 2930 Hickman Road when, police say, a suspect got away with four cartons of cigarettes.

Authorities noticed a gold car was stolen from the vicinity of the Kum & Go. A short time later an undercover officer spotted the car, chased it until it crashed and then arrested the two inside.

Police arrested 44-year-old Mark Robinson and 39-year-old Tiffany Robinson.

Mark Robinson is charged with theft, robbery and interference with official acts. Tiffany Robinson faces a domestic abuse charge from an unrelated case.

Losers. More upstanding black members of our community. Too bad they didn’t put up a fight and necessitate use of lethal force by our men in blue.

Racist much, William? Now was that comment necessary? Does it make you feel like more of a man to put other people down? Your white, male privilege must be working rather well for you, for you to feel empowered enough to put down people of color.

You are being very silly Shannon.
Is it racist to look at crime statistics and conclude that black men commit a disproportionate amount of crime in the US?
And is it racist to wish that violent criminals could be taken out by lethal force?
I don’t think it is. But if thinking for myself, if recognizing hazards and doing something about them to protect myself is racist then so be it.
