A northeast Iowa bank heist and chase is the focus of an MSNBC documentary Sunday.

You’ll hear from the people involved in the incident that started in the small town of Maynard in Fayette County in October of 2012.

Two men robbed a bank with guns drawn then led officers on a chase. During the chase the suspects, Jeremiah Mumford and William Clayton, fired their guns and shot two officers. Both survived. The chase ended in Bremer County where the suspects were taken into custody.

Mumford and Clayton took plea deals to charges in both Bremer and Fayette counties.

The MSNBC documentary, Heist: Terror in the Heartland, airs Sunday at 10:00 p.m.
