On January 13, the Iowa legislature is back in session for the first time in 2014.  But there likely won't be a big agenda pushed through during the legislative session as the biggest issue on most politician's minds will be reelection.

News Director of Radio Iowa O. Kay Henderson predicted in the new session marijuana would be discussed but not passed and that the topic of raising the minimum wage would be a hot topic.

Editor at Craig Robinson predicted that Jack Hatch would use hot political topics like the minimum wage debate and education funding as a way to show voters his views and how they differ from Governor Branstad's.

    Terrybull would never do this but Hatch would…New York Governor Mario Cuomo is taking EXECUTIVE ACTION to allow and being a medical marijuana program in New York, without any legislative time wasted by doing the right thing…
