The Iowa lottery is teaming up with a well-known local artist to raise money for the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund.

Bubba Sorenson custom painted part of a motorcycle that will be won in a scratch game.

Sorenson is known for his patriotic paintings on the Freedom Rock near Greenfield.

It took Sorensen about five days to hand paint the motorcycle’s gas tank and features an eagle’s head and the letters USA. On the side it says, “All gave some, some gave all.”

The bike is valued at $31,000 and features a personal touch from the artist.

“If you guys can pick it out, I hid certain little messages for my family in the eagle so that’s a fun little extra to enjoy,” Sorenson said.

To enter, take any non-winning “Ride to Riches” instant-scratch game ticket and log onto

There, become a member of the lottery’s free VIP club and enter the number on the front of the non-winning ticket. The drawing will be held March 27.
