More details have been released about the fatal shooting of a Des Moines man by police officers last month.
On December 4, Steven Vogel opened fire on his south-side neighborhood with .308 rifle.
He shot up neighboring houses and passing cars until Des Moines police confronted him, then shot and killed him.
Des Moines police officials confirmed to Channel 13 Tuesday that the fatal shot was fired by Lieutenant David Seybert, a 23-year veteran of the force.
Seybert and Officer Zach McCarthy both opened fire on Vogel to end his rampage.
Both officers were cleared of any wrong-doing and are both now back on the force.
