Authorities are trying to find a motive after a former Iowa State football player was found dead in Texas, according to reports.
KTBS reports Jason Berryman was murdered in his home in Jefferson, TX.
The 28-year-old was a defensive end for Iowa State. He went on to play for the Iowa Barnstormers after being named the Cyclones’ team MVP in 2003.
Berryman was just as well known for his off-field antics than his play on it. In 2004, he was kicked off the Cyclones’ team for disciplinary reasons. He also went to prison for stealing a phone and $4 from an ISU student.
