A Newton man’s federal child pornography trial has been delayed for a second time and it appears a plea deal in the case is in the works.

Seventy-two-year-old James Brock is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a child and production and possession of child pornography.

Police say Brock had hidden cameras in his home to catch people undressing when they used his tanning bed or swimming pool. More than 1,000 recordings of children and adults undressing were found in his home.

Brock’s federal trial was set to begin Monday but has been delayed. Online court records say it appears a plea agreement has been made, but Brock has not yet been given the agreement.

A state trial on charges of sexual exploitation of children, invasion of privacy, and second degree sexual abuse is scheduled for February 26th.
