Ames police have released the name of a man killed in a two-car crash Thursday night.

Police say around 5:30 Thursday night, a car headed east crossed the center line and hit the side of the Skunk River Bridge on the westbound side in the 1100 block of 13th Street. The car bounced off of the bridge, then hit a westbound car.

Paramedics took the drivers of both cars to the hospital. The driver of the eastbound car, 70-year-old Ronald Kiner, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other driver, 55-year-old Barbara Moritz was seriously injured. No update on her condition is available.

The accident is still under investigation.
