Despite the treacherous evening driving conditions as blowing thunder-snow hit the metro, the show went on at Wells Fargo Arena
Thousands of people turned out for the Jason Aldean concert.
It was slow going around the arena close to show time, but the place filled up with no major problems.
“It’s really not our call. We work with the artist and the show’s call. They worked with us to communicate. Yeah we had a bad batch of weather but we knew we had a couple of hours to get people in and we were able to do that successfully,” Iowa Events Center General Manager Chris Connolly said.
“Right now it’s close to being a full house and we feel pretty good about that.”
