THUNDER SNOW: Metro Sees Direct Hit

Posted on: 4:47 am, January 16, 2014, by , updated on: 10:22pm, January 16, 2014

It will still be windy with blowing snow causing slick travel over north central Iowa tonight. Lows will dip back to the single digits and wind chills will be in the single digits below zero.

Tomorrow will be cold and mostly sunny. Highs will be in the 20s.

There is still a chance for light snow on Saturday. It will be windy again but warmer.

Much warmer temperatures return Sunday and Monday.

Kudos to the WHO TV weather team for getting the weather as right as humanly possible without taking glory for creating the weather. Thursday’s forecast was right on with possible wind and possible snow, so the blizzard was not completely unexpected. KCCI’s weatherman John was adamant that all snow would end the night before, with no possibility for snow on Thursday … WRONG! WHO TV weather team continues to get my vote for dependability with great personalities to deliver the weather forecasts!
