FOOD BANKS: USDA To Provide Fruits And Vegetables

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking to help out food banks in Iowa.

Radio Iowa reported the U.S.D.A. will buy more than $126-million worth of fruits and vegetables for families under the Emergency Food Assistance Program.

According to a report released by the U.S.D.A. last year, nearly 13 percent of families do not have access to nutritious foods.
