Des Moines police are investigating several reported shootings that left bullet holes in homes and cars Monday.

One of the shootings happened in the area of Clark and 17th streets just before 6:00 p.m. A caller said a man and woman were arguing in the street and the man fired multiple shots at the woman. Officers didn`t find the couple but they did find a car that had been hit at least four times with bullets.

Around 6:15 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in the Oakridge neighborhood after several tenants reported hearing gunshots. No one was hurt, but a woman who runs an in-home daycare told police a round entered her apartment through the window.

Less than an hour later, officers were called to 16th Street and Allison Avenue on reports of six gunshots. Police say a bullet went through a nearby home, but didn’t hit anyone.

Police are looking for suspects in all of the shootings.
