Parents in the Johnston School District will meet with school leaders to discuss proposed elementary boundary revisions.
It’s a plan that’s getting some push back.
The district wants to spread out more than 300 kids among five different elementary schools next year. School leaders say it will ease overcrowding at two schools.
But parents are worried their kids would attend class in a building farther from their homes than the closest one.
Wednesday night, parents will be able to hear from demographers, see maps and speak with committee members. The public forum starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Johnston Middle School on Northwest 62nd Avenue.
