The sentencing for a convicted murderer has been postponed.

Vernon Huser was scheduled to be sentenced for first degree murder Friday.

A jury convicted Huser of first degree murder last month. He’s been convicted twice of hiring a hitman to kill Lance Morningstar back in 2004.

The verdict in his first trial was thrown out on appeal. Huser was found guilty following the second trial.

Huser’s attorney is now asking for a third trial.

No new sentencing date has been set.
