A Villisca man has been arrested and charged in connection with two fires set at a Montgomery County farm in February of 2013.

Thirty-one-year-old Carlton Dolph is charged with one count of terroristic threats, and two counts of second degree arson.

Officials with the State Fire Marshal’s Office say Dolph set fires at Sunbest Pepetti Farms on February 20th and February 25th. He was an employee of the farm at the time of the fires. During the investigation a letter claiming responsibility for the fires and threatening more fires was sent to the farm.

Investigators were able to link Dolph to the crimes using testing on evidence from the scene of the fires and the threatening letter, as well as interviews.

A motive in the case is unclear at this time.

Dolph is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
