Light rain and snow is moving through the state this evening. Tonight will be cloudy and lows will drop to 20.

Little change in temperatures Saturday. Highs will stay in the lower 20s. There will be a chance for snow late Saturday into early Sunday.

Sunday will be warmer. Highs in the 30s will allow for some rain/snow mix early. Then we have a dangerous situation with high wind, plummeting temperatures and blowing snow. a BLIZZARD WATCH will be in effect Sunday night through Monday morning. This watch means the light snow along with wind gusts over 40 mph will cause low visibilities and very slick roads. Lows will drop below zero Sunday night so wind chills will fall to -25 to -35.

Monday morning will be tough for travel. Highs Monday are expected to just move above zero. Dangerous wind chills are back in the forecast.

The rest of the week will be cool....and dry.

I remember back when a ‘blizzard’ was a LOT of snow with high winds. What’s up with that? How many inches of snow can we expect with this light snow?
