Major League Baseball pitcher and Iowa-native Jeremy Hellickson will be in the metro Saturday.
Hellickson is hosting a clinic called Pitcher Perfect for kids. All the proceeds will go Kids Living Brave.
Carson Cooper started the non-profit to raise money to help kids with cancer. Carson himself was diagnosed with leukemia at age eight. He’s still currently receiving treatments.
The baseball clinic is at Grand Slam in Urbandale. If you’d like to attend, show up Saturday morning before 9:00 to register.
There’s also a blood drive from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Officials say cancer patients are the number one recipients of all blood products.
