Superbowl Sunday is nearly here and Fareway Dietitian Whitney Packebush is sharing her favorite football snacks.

Packebush said she loves wings and anything with buffalo sauce, but most chicken wings are 100-calories each.  Try using breaded cauliflower bites with buffalo sauce as a substitute or go for half chicken wings and half cauliflower bites for a healthier twist.

If you're more of a dip person, try plain Greek yogurt mixed with a ranch packet for a guilt-free dip.  The dip is high in protein and goes great with peppers, carrots and celery.

Buffalo Caulilfower

  • 1 head cauilfower, steams removed and cut in uniform pieces
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • ¾ cup buffalo sauce


Combine milk, salt, pepper and garlic powder; Dredge cauliflower.  Bake at 450 for 18 minutes, or until cauliflower is tender.  Remove from oven and coat in buffalo sauce.  Bake for an additional 5 minutes and serve immediately.
