Cronuts have become a new fad in desserts. As a cross between a croissant and a donut, the tasty treat has become popular all over the country.
Zombie Burger Chef Tom McKern said he’ll be making chocolate-covered bacon cronuts for this year’s Blue Ribbon Bacon Fest, held on Feb. 1. McKern said he thinks the cronuts and Bacon Fest are a fun way to celebrate the love of bacon.
McKern said his cronut recipe involves using pork fat instead of butter and a bacon-chocolate glaze on the cronut. And what better way to top it off than with bacon-chocolate sprinkles.
