The vote is in, and the Senate agreed to the farm bill conference report at a vote of 68 to 32.
The conference report came out last week and passed the House vote at 251 to 166.

Unless President Obama vetoes the bill, it will now become law. This makes it the first agriculture act to pass in almost six years. Also in the bill are the first reforms to food stamps since 1996.
According to the Congressional Research Service, the new bill will cost nearly $1 trillion over the next ten years.
