An Iowa lawmaker is mourning the loss of her two sisters after someone killed them near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Clinton Democratic Representative Mary Wolfe’s colleagues received an email from the House Leader on Friday night, telling them of the sisters’ murders.

Wolfe’s sisters had moved from Iowa out to Pennsylvania last December.

Pittsburgh Police said a friend became concerned about the well-being of the sisters and let authorities inside their home on Friday.

There authorities said they found the sisters near each other, shot to death in the basement.  They said they are not sure when the sisters died.

Police said they recovered one of the missing vehicles late on Friday night but have not made any arrests in the case yet.
