The city of Johnston is getting ready for its next public meeting on the improvements to NW 70th Avenue.

The city reported it has another public meeting planned to talk about the project and their planned improvements for the area.  The city says it is still in its planning stage with the project and wants as much public input on the development as possible.

The city reported its push for the entire project is to be ready for the soon-to-be built new high school and future traffic as the area develops.  The current plans show residents can expect light construction around the NW 70th Avenue area with heavier construction expected around March of 2015.

The meeting is scheduled for March 6 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Crown Point Community Center.  The meeting is public and all residents are encouraged to attend.
