Someone is much richer Sunday than Saturday. Powerball’s Saturday night jackpot reached $330.8 million, according to Iowa Lottery officials. No one matched all required six numbers. But one ticket sold in Iowa came close. That ticket matched the first five numbers but didn’t match the Powerball number. The Lottery said that means next Wednesday night’s drawing will reach an estimated $400 million.

The Lottery said the winning $1 million Iowa ticket sold at the Git-N-Go, 8701 Hickman Road in Urbandale. That ticket was one of nine in the country to win a $1 million prize.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 2-9-14-21-23 and Powerball 3. The Power Play number was 3.

A release from the Iowa Lottery added this:

The last $1 million-winning Powerball ticket sold in Iowa hit in November and is still unclaimed three months later. That ticket, sold at Kum & Go, 2050 Iowa Highway 38 in Tipton, matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball in the Nov. 16 drawing. The lottery reminds its players to double-check their tickets for any prize they may have won.
