Police are searching for the people who assaulted a Hartford teen early Sunday morning.

The Des Moines Register reported the teenager was driving past 15th and Locust Street when a truck slid sideways, taking up three lanes of traffic.

When the teen rolled down his window to yell at them to move so traffic could keep driving, a woman from the truck came over to his window and punched him multiple times, according to the police report.

When the victim tried to get out of the car, a man from the truck came over and hit the teen.  The two then took off in the truck, according to the Des Moines Register.

Des Moines Police were called to the Blank Children’s Hospital after 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning when the teen’s parents reported the incident.

The Des Moines Register reported the teen sustained a concussion from the assault but is in good condition.
