This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Temperatures begin around the freezing point this morning. This will lead to some refreeze and icy spots on sidewalks, driveways, and roads. But we will quickly warm up to the 50s this afternoon.

Rain chances arrive to the state by Wednesday night as temperatures hold in the 40s. Western and Northern Iowa will see some snow first with the strong Thursday storm system. A Blizzard Watch will go into effect Thursday morning and last until Friday morning for parts of Central Iowa. Heavy snow and blowing snow will be possible. It gets cold again this weekend.
