Thursday’s winter storm hit residents in Webster County hard.
In Fort Dodge, the heavy wet snow is like slush making it really difficult for drivers.
Public Works has 10 plows on the road tending to the main streets then the side streets. Still folks in Fort Dodge planned to stay inside for the night.
Fareway was full of customers. The manager of the Fort Dodge grocery store even dragged extra employees to handle the rush. Eggs, milk and bread were the first to go and it’s hard keeping anything else on the shelves
Road crews say the most challenging part is just keeping up with the falling, blowing and slushy snow.
