In the wake of Iowa coach Fran McCaffery’s decision to ban his players from Twitter for the rest of the season, Iowa State basketball coach Fred Hoiberg is making some strong statements about social media and how it affects players.
“It’s unfortunately, the age and the era we live in. Social media has taken over so many young lives and I think it’s a disgrace. I think social media is going to be the end of us, I really do. It’s a joke that people can sit behind their computer and take a stab at a young kid that’s out there doing the best they can.
