HOMICIDE CASE: Death At Meskwaki Settlement

Officials are investigating after a death in Tama County.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has confirmed that investigators are at the scene of an apparent homicide on the Meskwaki settlement in the 1600 block of 340th Street.

Authorities say the investigation is in the preliminary stages and involves at least one death.

This is the second homicide investigation this month on the Meskwaki settlement.

Gordon Lasley Sr. and his wife Kim were found dead in their home on February 5th. Their son, Gordon Lasley Jr. is charged with their murder.

Police say he killed his parents with a machete. He remains in the Tama County Jail awaiting trial.
