LIGHT SNOW: Cold Arctic Air To Follow
Light snow and flurries will continue tonight. Snowfall amounts will be light with less than 2″ accumulating. It will continue through 10 PM.
Cold arctic air will surge into the state on Tuesday with temperatures staying in the teens for daytime highs through Friday and overnight lows in the single digits. Winds may become a problem on Tuesday. Winds will pick up to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon, leading to blowing and drifting of snow in rural open areas.
Temperatures will drop below zero on Wednesday morning. Daytime highs will moderate briefly on Wednesday afternoon reaching the low 20s. However, the remainder of the week, highs will only be in the teens. The weather becomes very active this weekend with snow changes on and off Friday through Monday.
