ANIMAL NEGLECT: Charges Filed In Davis County Case

Charges have been filed against a Drakesville man who had more than 320 animals seized from his home last week.

Forty-five-year-old Roger Blew is charged with 28 counts of animal neglect, livestock neglect, and duty to dispose of dead bodies. A wide variety of animals were seized including: sugar gliders, hissing cockroaches, chickens, degus, rabbits, and pigeons.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has also filed 10 charges against Blew for no valid game breeders license, failure to file annual report game breeder, and game breeder records violations.

The animals were seized February 21st after a search warrant was issued at the Davis County home Blew lives at.

The animals are now in the care of the Animal Rescue League and some have already been adopted.
