The Johnston School District is searching for a new superintendent and officials say they have it down to two finalists.

Dr. Michael Houselog is the superintendent of the Belvidere Community Unit School District in Illinois. A public reception for Houselog will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at the Johnston Administrative Resource Center.

Dr. Corey Lunn will go through the same process on Tuesday.  Lunn is the current superintendent of Stillwater Area Public Schools in Minnesota.

Whoever is selected for the spot will replace Superintendent Clay Guthmiller who is retiring at the end of the year.
