It was a back and forth game. But Thursday the Iowa State Cyclones proved they are a force to be reckoned with.

The Iowa State team took on Kansas State in the first round of the Big 12 Conference Tournament. And it was a nail-bitter ending with the Cyclones winning it 91 to 85.

Coach Fred Hoiberg said the game was “very physical” and was “proud of the way the team opened the floor up and made the right plays.”

Iowa State will play again Friday against Kansas at 6 p.m.
