The Johnston Board of Education held a special meeting Monday morning to approve the contract for a new superintendent.

Following a two-month long search and four rounds of interviews, the offer will go to Dr. Corey Lunn.

Board members visited Lunn’s current district in Stillwater, MN on Friday.

Lunn has until Thursday to accept the offer.

The superintendent position is being vacated by current superintendent Clay Guthmiller who is retiring.
