The Iowa Workforce Development director has responded to allegations made against her.

Teresa Wahlert sent a letter to the US Department of Labor on Thursday rebutting the claims made by Democratic State Senator William Dotzler.

The senator claims Wahlert is helping businesses to win unemployment cases by requiring administrative law judges to create tip sheets.

A judge also says Wahlert‘s leadership style is creating a hostile work environment.

In the letter Wahlert rebukes the claims, “The state has specific guidelines for employees to file a hostile work environment complaint, of which I have received none.”

Wahlert ends by saying Sen. Dotzler’s complaints and concerns are “unfounded.”

it’s sad to see this station take the word of a disgruntled employee and a man hiding in the shadows. Where is the documentation. Have facts if you are going to put a story on the air. This story really feels like it is based on politics and not facts. It’s dangerous to let either party manipulate the media. I will be moving back to KCCI if this station is going to the air with rumors.
