AGRIBUSINESS: COOL Verdict Coming Soon

Lawyers for organizations in the lawsuit against the current Country Of Origin Labeling (COOL) rules think there will be a decision soon, according to an interview held by the magazine Meatingplace.
COOL forces meat packaging plants to label their meat, showing where it comes from.
Attorney John Dillard says in his experience, judges for the court make decisions about two months after the arguments are presented.  And since the organizations presented the case in January, the verdict could be out very soon.
Depending on the court ruling, COOL enforcement could be stopped. But determining the constitutionality of the legislation will be decided later.
