BOY HURT: NFL Player Offering Razor Blade Culprit Reward
An NFL football player is offering a reward to catch the person who glued a dozen razor blades to playground equipment in the Quad Cities.
Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde, who lives in Davenport, is offering a $1,000 reward.
“It’s just outrageous, having a son now. I can’t imagine a situation where my child had been cut by those razor blades,” the father of a 15-month-old boy told WQAD.
It comes after a two-year-old boy cut his hands on the razor blades at the East Moline park on Monday. That boy’s parents described the culprit as “sick” and “psychotic.”
Quad Cities Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward. Anyone with information is asked to contact them.
