HELPING VETS: Bill Would Assist In Job Hunt

Gov. Terry Branstad’s Home Base Iowa initiative is moving forward.

Wednesday, the Iowa House added elements of the plan to find jobs for Iowa veterans to another bill that would make military pensions tax-free in Iowa.

The bill passed by a 94 to two vote.

It now heads on to the Iowa Senate.

Don’t the VA have a good jobs program and a Voc rehab program for vets?Been there done that. This is just more meaningless spin coming from a corrupt state government. Terry still hasn’t kept his 250,000 new jobs promise he made to the rest of Iowans when he ran for his gov in the first place. Worthless.
