Residents of Norwalk are under a boil order after a water main break Sunday led to a loss in water pressure.
The break was discovered just before 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the area of North Ave. West and Redwood Drive. Officials say the loss in pressure could allow untreated water and harmful microbes to enter the system
People are being advised to boil any water for drinking or cooking use for at least a minute and then let it cool. The boil order is expected to be in place for a few days.
Norwalk schools cancelled classes Monday because of the boil order.
Tests will be conducted to determine when the water is safe for consumption again.
