The Iowa Energy head to the playoffs as one of the top teams in the NBDL.
Energy has a great shot at bringing home their second league championship.
The man who runs the show, a fan favorite, is former Cyclone Curtis Stinson.
It wasn’t long ago Stinson was making highlight reel plays at Iowa State. Eight years later, there’smore highlights in a different uniform.
Stinson is what you call a basketball junkie, he’s played all over the world, and still can’t get enough basketball.
At 31-years-old Stinson feels good, healthy, but that day will come when it’s time to hang it up, the next step in his life might still be on a basketball court.
“Everyone says ‘you’d be a good coach’ to me,” Stinson says. “I just love it it’s in my heart.”
Earlier today Stinson and some of the Iowa Energy players visited River Woods Elementary in Des Moines.
The players talked to the kids about playing professional basketball, working hard and being a good person.
