WIND ADVISORY: Warm and Windy Monday

Severe thunderstorms blew up this afternoon over the I-35 corridor. The storms moved very quickly into the eastern 1/2 of the state.
Warnings were issued for Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Mahaska Counties. Pea-size hail was reported in many of those storms.

The high temperatures were in the middle 70s. Des Moines hit 77. Tonight...the cold temperatures are back. The back-side of this storm system will keep us much cooler through the week.

Tuesday will be breezy and cooler. Highs will only be near 50 degrees. More rain is in the forecast on Wednesday. More showers are expected through the end of the week.
