Residents of Norwalk can now safely drink the water from their taps again.

A water main break Sunday night caused a loss in pressure in the water system, leaving it vulnerable to contamination from microbes.

A boil order was issued asking residents to use boil their tapwater before drinking or using in cooking.

Officials now say testing of the water has determined it is safe. They say residents don’t need to clear their water lines before using the water.
