The Iowa House passed a resolution calling on California to repeal a law.

Resolution 123 says California’s law unconstitutionally limits the sale of eggs.

The law requires that all eggs sold in California must come from birds kept in cages large enough for them to spread their wings. It means many of Iowan produced eggs cannot legally be sold in California.

Governor Branstad is among others listed on a federal lawsuit that aims to overturn the law.
