SNOW ENDING: Cold Friday

A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for far North Central Iowa. 1 to 3" of snow is possible Fort Dodge to Mason City with higher amounts in far NW Iowa, along the Minnesota border.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 7 AM to 5 PM today throughout central Iowa. Winds will be out of NW at 25-30 mph and gusts as strong as 40+ mph. This will lead to visibility issues in the north with the new snow.

Temperatures will warm up a bit over the weekend, with a chance for showers late Sunday through Tuesday.

Much warmer weather will return on Wednesday.
