Overnight tonight blustery winds will remain in place initially, but they will die down after midnight. Temperatures will still be quite chilly with lows in the 20s across much of Central Iowa.

Over the weekend, temperatures will warm up a bit with the winds finally a bit calmer. A few light showers are possible on Sunday afternoon, mainly in Western Iowa. Light rain is also possible over the western half of the state on Monday.

Much warmer weather will return on Wednesday.
