The Senate approved a bill that would make it legal to hunt deer using a crossbow during a busy day at the Capitol, Tuesday.

They also gave final approval for a bill that requires all Iowa schools to test for radon and develop a plan to mitigate it if dangerous levels are found.

Both of those bills now head to the governor’s desk.

Work is underway on budget bills as well.

The Senate also passed a “Rebuild Iowa” budget bill and the House passed a transportation spending plan.

Legislators have just ten more paid days to finish their work this session.
